Ontario Farrier's Association

Welcome to the OFA
Founded in 1980, the Ontario Farrier's Association is a non profit organization that speaks for the interests of it's members and is a resource for the equine community reguading hoof care. Further, the O.F.A assists farriers to improve their skills and provides a forum for the promotion and implementation of standards for quality of service in the industry. The OFA is dedicated to the principle that continuing education is needed to improve health care given to horses.

Competence & Commitment
The O.F.A sponsors Farrier competitions, clinics, and an annual convention all with the objective of encouraging improvement in individual farrier skills in members. Competitions which test both shoeing skills and shoemaking skills are held throughout the province for farriers who wish to sharpen their skills under pressure.
